
Professor Li Xueqin was a preeminent historian, archaeologist, paleographer, philologist, and educator in contemporary China, revered as an "encyclopedic scholar" with unparalleled academic prestige. His pioneering multidisciplinary research profoundly advanced the study of ancient Chinese civilization and significantly contributed to the development of early Chinese history, archaeology, and paleography. To preserve Professor Li’s academic legacy and honor his scholarly achievements, the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts, Tsinghua University established the Professor Li Xueqin Memorial Room in April 2021. We now invite his colleagues, students, relevant institutions, and individuals to contribute historical materials related to his life and work.
I. Scope of Collection
1. Photographs: Work and daily life images from all periods, including research, teaching, fieldwork, lectures, and historical photos of organizations associated with Professor Li.
2. Publications: Original manuscripts of his authored/co-authored/edited books, research papers, lecture notes, syllabi, prefaces, postscripts, and inscriptions.
3. Correspondence: Letters, academic exchanges, and discussions involving Professor Li.
4. Other Materials: Diaries, notebooks, news clippings, memoirs, audio/video recordings, and physical artifacts related to his academic and personal life.
II. Guidelines for Submission
1. Materials must be authentic and historically significant, reflecting aspects of Professor Li’s scientific research, teaching, public service, or daily life.
2. For fragile originals, high-resolution scans or copies (≥300 dpi; preferably 600 dpi) are acceptable. The Center may assist with digitization and return originals upon request.
3. All submissions require a brief description, including provenance. Photos must specify time, location, and subjects; archival materials need contextual metadata.
4. This is a non-remunerated collection. Donors will receive a formal Certificate of Donation.
5. Contributors must provide detailed contact information.
