Academic profile

Huang Dekuan, Doctor of Philosophy in History (Paleography), serves as Chair Professor of Humanities, Director of the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts, and Ph.D. Supervisor at Tsinghua University. He serves as Member of the Language and Literature Division of the Social Sciences Committee under the Ministry of Education, Convener of the Language Discipline Panel of the National Social Science Fund Evaluation Committee, Member of the National Leading Group for Ancient Books Collation and Publication Planning, Consultant to the National Language Commission, President of the Chinese Writing Society, and Director of the National Museum of Chinese Writing. His research focuses on Chinese Philology, Paleography, and the Study of Unearthed Documents in Relation to Ancient Chinese Civilization.
