Academic profile

Jia Lianxiang, male, born in 1983 in Dalian, Liaoning Province, earned his Bachelor of Arts from the Department of Arts and Crafts, Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University (September 2002 – July 2006), Master of Arts in Sculpture under the supervision of Professor Wang Peibo at the Department of Sculpture, Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University (September 2006 – July 2008), and Doctor of Philosophy in History under the guidance of Professor Li Xueqin at the Department of History, School of Humanities, Tsinghua University (September 2011 – July 2014). He conducted postdoctoral research in the Postdoctoral Program in Chinese Language and Literature at Tsinghua University (July 2014 – July 2016) with Professor Li Shoukui as his mentor. Since July 2016, he has taught at Tsinghua University, holding positions as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Tenured Associate Professor. He is currently Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts, Tsinghua University. His primary research fields are Paleography and Excavated Documents, Pre-Qin History, Chinese Character Studies, and Art History.
