Academic profile
Li Junming, male, born in 1947 with ancestral roots in Boluo, Guangdong Province, graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature (Classical Philology) at Peking University in 1975. He served as an editor at Cultural Relics Press, and held positions as Assistant Researcher, Associate Researcher, Researcher, and Director of the Ancient Documents Research Department at the China Academy of Cultural Heritage (formerly the Ancient Documents Research Office of the Ministry of Culture). He was also appointed Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Oriental and Occidental Cultural Studies, Kansai University (Japan), and Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Chinese Culture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since 2008, he has been a Researcher at the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts, Tsinghua University. His primary research focuses on Warring States, Qin, Han, and Wei-Jin unearthed documents and historical studies, as well as legal history research.
With decades of dedication to the collation and research of unearthed texts, he has contributed to major projects including Yinqueshan Han Tomb Bamboo Slips, Juyan Han Slips, Shuihudi Qin Tomb Bamboo Slips, Zhangjiashan Han Slips, Yinwan Han Tomb Slips and Tablets, Shangsunzhai Han Slips from Datong (Qinghai), Ejina Han Slips, Jianshuijinguan Han Slips, Dunhuang Xuanquan Han Slips, Zoumalou Western Han Slips (Changsha), Wuyi Square Eastern Han Slips and Tablets (Changsha), Zoumalou Three Kingdoms Wu Slips (Changsha), Tsinghua University Warring States Bamboo Manuscripts, and the Bamboo and Silk Documents Database at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
