Academic profile
Li Shoukui, male, born in 1962 in Yangyuan County, Hebei Province, earned his Master of Arts in History of the Chinese Language from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Northeast Normal University (1990–1993) and Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Philology from the Institute of Ancient Texts, Jilin University (1994–1997). After completing his master’s degree, he taught and conducted research at the School of Literature, Jilin University, holding positions as Teaching Assistant, Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor, and Ph.D. Supervisor. Since July 2010, he has been a Professor at the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts, Tsinghua University. He formerly served as Chair of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, School of Humanities, Tsinghua University, and is currently Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Department of Chinese Language and Literature and the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts, Tsinghua University. His primary research fields are Chinese Philology and Linguistics, Paleography, Historical Philology, and Bamboo and Silk Manuscript Studies.
His academic honors include the “New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education” (2006), Second Group of Jilin Province’s Top Innovative Talents (2007), Jilin Province Outstanding Mid-Career Technical Expert with Significant Contributions (2008), and High-Level Talent of the Ministry of Education (2016).
His professional roles include Vice President of the Chinese Writing Society.
