Academic profile

Liu Guozhong, male, born in 1969 in Zhenghe, Fujian Province, earned his Bachelor of History from the Department of History, Beijing Normal University (September 1987 – July 1991), Master of History in Chinese Ancient History (Pre-Qin History) under the supervision of Professor Chao Fulin at the same department (September 1991 – July 1994), and Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Philology (Academic History Texts) under the guidance of Professors Li Xueqin and Ge Zhaoguang at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (September 1994 – July 1997). Since 1997, he has taught at the Department of History, School of Humanities, Tsinghua University, holding positions as Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor, and Ph.D. Supervisor. He is currently Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts, Tsinghua University. His primary research fields are Chinese Ancient History and Bamboo and Silk Manuscript Studies.
