Academic profile

Shi Xiaoli, male, born in 1984 in Xingtai, Hebei Province, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from Hebei University (September 2004 – July 2008), Master of Arts in Chinese Linguistics and Philology under the supervision of Professor Chen Sipeng at Sun Yat-sen University (September 2008 – July 2010), and Doctor of Philosophy in Chinese Linguistics and Philology under the guidance of Professor Chen Weiwu at Sun Yat-sen University (September 2012 – July 2015). He conducted postdoctoral research in the Postdoctoral Program in History at Tsinghua University (September 2015 – December 2018) with Professor Zhao Ping’an as his mentor. He joined the Research and Conservation Center for Unearthed Texts, Tsinghua University in January 2019, consecutively holding positions as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. He is currently a Tenured Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Center. His primary research focuses on Excavated Documents and Paleography.
